Creating a Catalog in Zurmo to store a collection of products is a simple and fast way to begin organizing your product lines. Let’s get started!
The first step is to make sure you are on your Zurmo Dashboard. By selecting the Home button you will be situated on your Zurmo Dashboard.
From the Dashboard, locate the Products option within the list of options just below the Home option.
Click on the Products option and Zurmo will refresh the screen with the Product screen which also contains the opportunity to create a new Catalog.
Note in the illustration above, the three options from left to right including Products, Catalogs, and Categories. To create a catalog to contain a grouping of Products, hover your mouse over the downward pointing arrow on the Catalogs tab. When you do this, you will see a new option labeled ‘Create Catalog’ reveal itself. Click on the Create Catalog option to begin creating a new Catalog. Once the Create Catalog option is selected, Zurmo will open a new screen where you can create your new catalog by completing the various fields detailing and defining your new Catalog.
The illustration above is a partial rendering of many options within the Create Catalog screen. The actual screen offers an abundance of fields to further define the catalog you are creating. In this case, the catalog Name is Test Catalog, the Description is Catalog for Testing, and the status is Active. Once you have completed entering data in all of the Catalog fields, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save.
Once the Save option is selected, the screen will refresh and Zurmo will present you with a summary of the information you have entered into the Catalog as illustrated below.
At this point you have completed the task of Creating a new Catalog. However, should you want to edit your entries in this catalog, you can do that now or anytime by using the options selection in the upper right hand corner of the summary screen for the catalog you just created.
Now you have a catalog to begin affiliating your products with in Zurmo. You can open as many Catalogs as you need to organize your products into logical groupings!
