You’ve recently added a new staff member who will need to begin using Zurmo soon. Zurmo makes it very easy to navigate establishing a new user. Let’s get started!
The first step is to make sure you are on your Zurmo Dashboard. By selecting the “Home” button you will be situated on your Zurmo Dashboard.
In the upper right hand corner of the Dashboard, you will notice a gear symbol as in the illustration below. Click on the gear symbol to open a list which includes choices such as Designer, Import, Users, Settings and more. For our purposes, we want to select Users.
Once the option for Users is selected, a new screen will open and present the Users Home screen. You will notice the navigation selection for Users on the left of the screen is highlighted by default. You may also see a list of other users created at an earlier point in time.
On the Users Home screen, select the Create option which will open another screen titled Create User.
On the Create User screen, complete all essential fields with all available data for the new user.
Note in the upper right of the Create User screen the Quick Tip which states:
The last step in creating a new user is to save your data for the new user. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of the window for the new user and select the “Save” option.
Once the “Save” option is selected, a new window will open to display a summary of the detail you entered. Here is a partial view of what you will see:
Don’t worry if you don’t have details for every field related to a user. As new information becomes available, you can return to the user and add new information, notes, and actions. We will cover the approach to doing that in an upcoming post.
