Alfresco share has few different themes available out of box using which you could change the look and feel of Alfresco.
The following themes are available out of box in alfresco Share:
- Blue theme (default)
- Yellow theme
- Green theme
- High contrast black
- Google Docs theme
Just like any other theme, Alfresco themes consist of a bunch of CSS and images, they can be located in the theme directory
<ALF_HOME>/tomcat/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/site-data/themes.
How to change theme?
Admin can select different theme from set of available themes using his admin console. In Admin console page click “Application” in the Tools list It will lead to “Options” page where you will be able to see list of available themes.
Admin can select different theme from here and it will impact all the users.
I have selected Green Theme and look at the difference.
Internal Structure of Themes
Let’s look in to how these themes are structures. It follows very simple structure. As you can see in below image it has only two folders inside it and one CSS file. Both folders contains images which are used in generating components and CSS file contains details regarding styling needs to be applied for given theme.
