Do you wish for your members to be able to access your site with once touch from their Andriod phone or iPhone? Well now they can by creating a shortcut to the website itself but by making look like an app on their phone.
Go to:
http://makeappicon.com/
Make your iconimage then make a folder in the root of your social engine site
called /iconimage/ and upload all of the images there.
Now after you upload the images make sure you find and rename the sizes you want to use.
The only image
the site doesn’t generate is 120×120 you don’t really need it but i used photoshop to shrink it to 120×120.
Now you are going to go to the following folders:
public_html/application/modules/Core/layouts/scripts/
Then open the following file with notepad:
default.tpl
Above the </head> code add the following codes:
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="57x57" href="/iconimage/apple-icon-57x57.png" /> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="72x72" href="/iconimage/apple-icon-72x72.png" /> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="114x114" href="/iconimage/apple-icon-114x114.png" /> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" href="/iconimage/apple-icon-120x120.png" /> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="144x144" href="/iconimage/apple-icon-144x144.png" />
These codes will work perfectly with android and other devices like ios.
Make sure your background is white or transparent.
