To allow a user to access to your website, you have to activate the user account; to do this there are three ways: it can activated automatically, activated by the user or can be activate by the administrator of the site. In this article, I will explain how to select the approval process for a new user account activation. Follow these steps:
- Login as administrator to Joomla and go to Global Configuration on System menu:
- In the left panel, locate and select the option Users Manager:
- On the right side, in the tab Component, you will see the New User Account Activation option, select the option you want the user to activate the account and then click the Save button:
And that’s it! With this, the accounts of the users of your site will be able to be activated and therefore can make use of the site.
