MojoPortal makes content management much less complicated, and gives you a great deal of power over the content of your website. With that being said, the one thing it can’t do is fold time, or otherwise let you format and enter content instantaneously. However, it does give you the next best option – the ability to hide pages while you’re adding and arranging your content, until you’re ready to unveil your masterpiece to the world – here’s how.
The first, and most direct method, is to hide the page from unauthorized users. In order to do so:
1) Log into your mojoPortal instance as an administrator
2) On the grey “Administration” bar at the bottom of the page, you’ll see “New Page” – click this link. Once you’re there, set the page name, and under the “Security” tab, de-select “All Users”, and select “Authenticated Users”. Click “Create New Page”, and now you’ve created a page that’s hidden from your site visitors, until you’ve finished adding all your content to the page.
The other method is usable if you’ve enabled “content workflow” on your mojoPortal instance. If this is enabled, then instead of controlling page access through security, simply check “Is Draft?” when you’re creating the page.
You can also use either method on an existing page, if you want to hide the page while you’re making changes to your content or format.
