How to setup your email on your Android Phone.

Today we are going to discuss how to setup your email on your Android device. For many people, this task can be confusing and very long. Today we are going to go through it very quickly and easily so that you can get it up and running in no time!

There are a few things we are going to need right out of the box:

Email Address:  As obvious as this seems you do infact need it. (

Password: You will also need the password to said above email.

Server Name: You also need this it goes like this: where is your website. If this doesn’t work you can find it at webmail login under Settings then Email Accounts.

Ports:  For incoming it’s 143 and for outgoing its 25. These are the defaults if this isn’t you can also find these where you found your server name under webmail login under Settings then Email Accounts.

So after you have all of this you are ready to go!

On your device you are going to go to settings like so:

Then click on Add account under accounts like so:

You will click on Email like so:

Now, click Other as shown below:

Then you will enter your credentials. Don’t forget here you need your email address and password:

Then to the account type. For this one I am going to use IMAP4:

Then click Next, you will need your domain name here. Also, when you click on your security certificate, it will auto populate the port it works with the port number you select. You can leave it that way:

The security setting box like so:

After you do that click Next and it will take you to SMTP server. Put in the same information and select your security certificate here. It also auto populates the port number here. It does work so I recommend using it. I used SSL for both settings:

Click Next and you will see it connecting to the server like so:

After it connects you will see this screen:

Enter your account name and then click Done.

And now everything should be good to go :).

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!
