Today we are going to discuss how to set up a custom domain for Google Calendars through your Google Apps service! Google calendars is automatically set up and they give you a randomly generated address for this. However you can set it up like this http://calender.yourdomain.com So that is what we are going to do!
First you are going to log into your cPanel and look for subdomains like so:
Select subdomains like so:
You will be taken to a page that looks like this:
Fill in the information that you wish to have and click create (NOTE: it will automatically generate a folder for you to use so you don’t have to specify one.)
Once you have that finished navigate back to your Google Apps page and click Apps like so:
You will then be taken to this page:
Click Calendar and you will see this page:
You can click edit next to the web address directly below the name. On this page it allows you to edit who can use it and what permissions they have and if the calendar is on or off. To edit the domain address click edit next to the url like so:
You will see this page:
Select your custom domain click save and you will see this page:
You will need to go to your cPanel and then go to Simple DNS like so:
Click that and you will see the following page:
Under CNAME enter Calendar. Then for CNAME put ghs.googlehosted.com
Click save and then go back to google and click the I’ve Completed This task button and it will save it.
Navigate to the url that you made and you should see this:
