How to make a staff link in members box in Xenforo

Today we are going to discuss a very easy way to add a staff members link into your Members drop down box. It’s quite simple and short way to just kind of compact everything together.

So let’s get logged into our Admin CP and then navigate our way to Appearance and then to Templates like so:

From there we are going to look for navigation like so:

It will take you too the following screen:

From there we are going to be looking for the following piece of code:

<xen:hook name="navigation_tabs_members">
  <li><a href="{xen:link members}"><i class="fa fa-star" style="padding-right: 3px;"></i>{xen:phrase notable_members}</a></li>
  <xen:if is="{$xenOptions.enableMemberList}"><li><a href="{xen:link members/list}"><i class="fa fa-group" style="padding-right: 3px;"></i>{xen:phrase registered_members}</a></li></xen:if>
  <li><a href="{xen:link online}"><i class="fa fa-eye" style="padding-right: 3px;"></i>{xen:phrase current_visitors}</a></li>
  <xen:if is="{$xenOptions.enableNewsFeed}"><li><a href="{xen:link recent-activity}"><i class="fa fa-fire" style="padding-right: 3px;"></i>{xen:phrase recent_activity}</a></li></xen:if>
  <xen:if is="{$canViewProfilePosts}"><li><a href="{xen:link find-new/profile-posts}"><i class="fa fa-pencil-square-o" style="padding-right: 3px;"></i>{xen:phrase new_profile_posts}</a></li></xen:if>

Now once found it looks like this should be about just over half way down the page like so:

Replace with the following code right under xen:hook name=”navigation tabs_members”>

<li><a href="{xen:link members}">{xen:phrase notable_members}</a></li>
             <xen:if is="{$xenOptions.enableMemberList}"><li><a href="{xen:link members/list}">{xen:phrase registered_members}</a></li></xen:if>
             <li><a href="{xen:link online}">{xen:phrase current_visitors}</a></li>
             <xen:if is="{$xenOptions.enableNewsFeed}"><li><a href="{xen:link recent-activity}">{xen:phrase recent_activity}</a></li></xen:if>
             <li><a href="{xen:link members, '', 'type=staff'}">Staff Members</a>
             <xen:if is="{$canViewProfilePosts}"><li><a href="{xen:link find-new/profile-posts}">{xen:phrase new_profile_posts}</a></li></xen:if>

So after you finish with that make sure that you save and go to your members page and you will see the following:

There you have it! You did it!
