hi, how to install the latest version of pligg ? its looks like softaclus gives us a old version of pligg ?
We have notified softaculous and it should be updated within the next few business days.
THANK YOU!!! I’ve been barking up my host’s tech support for help on getting Pligg installed, but they weren’t very helpful. You’ve just saved me a lot of time, though I appreciate the learning opportunity of using ftp clients and CHMOD for the first time (it’s scary for noobs.)
Oh! However, it’s running an old version of Pligg, which is on 1.1.2. now.
Simply contact support and we can at least notify Softaculous to update it. Or, if you are not in a hurry, it generally gets updated within a few dates to the latest version.
I was looking through some of your blog posts on this website and I conceive this website is rattling informative ! Retain putting up.
I watched your video regarding installing Pligg in CPanel. I am confused though now. I was on pligg.com and it says I have to buy a template. but, when I just watched your video, I did not see any place where a template was accessed and uploaded. Let’s say for example, i wanted to use the template known as ‘Heppy’ or ‘Social Pro’ — see this link: http://pligg.com/download-category/template/ – then, How exactly do I get this system on your Personal Class-Pro Plan. Then, how do I add modules to these. Can you please clarify the process?; or is that when I sign up for a hosting plan, that I automatically get a ‘Pligg’ template site. Please advise. I am trying to move on this with multiple domains, but I am extremely confused and frustrated having been researching this for 8 hours today. Thanks, Danny
Hi Danny,
To install the template you need to upload the template to your hosting account. You then unzip the template into the “templates” folder. In the Pligg admin page, under the “Template Settings” enter the name of the template in the box to the right of “Template”. The video you watched is only for installing Pligg, not modification of it. We currently do not have any blog posts for that.
