How to Hide Video Views From watch_video in Clip-Bucket v2.6

I saw in the forum someone asking how to remove views from videos, so here it goes; I hope you find it useful. I always recommend making a backup of the files we are going to edit, in case you would like to revert changes. This perfectly works for v2.6, and most likely works in the entire v2 branch. Yet, if you want me to test it for a specific version, let me know in the comments below!

Difficulty Level: Easy

1. Open watch_video.html, located in ./*

2. Search for:

<li>{lang code='views'} : <strong>{$vdo.views|number_format}</strong></li>

3. Remove that line.

4. Save and Upload.

That’s it, you can go to watch a video and you’ll see views are not showing anymore! If you got any question, please let me know and I’ll be more than glad to assist you.

Best Regards,

    I have a problem…
I removed that line what you said.
but the views are still there please help me?

    • Hello,

Make sure to flush Clip-Bucket’s cache.
      1. Browse your files either by cPanel’s File manager or via FTP
      2. Get inside the cache directory
      3. Remove everything except the two directories (comments & userfeeds)
      4. Refresh your site

Let me know if the problem persists.
