Hello,
Apologies for the delay, did you get this resolved in the end? If not, can you please reach out to support@arvixe.com? They should be able to help you with this.
Hi
I made an email for one of my customers via Arvixe hosting that i have. There is limit on attache files and she can not attache more than 150 mb. They said i must use FTP account for her.I dont understand what should i do exactly and how she can use this FTP account(if i made it)?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to our blog. FTP stands for file transfer protocol, there are many FTP applications around the web such as Filezilla. When connecting via FTP, you would need the hostname, username, password and port. In your case, the hostname would be your domain name, the username would be your cPanel username and the password would be your cPanel password (you can leave the port blank).
Once logged in (you will see a list of your files), visit the public_html directory. From here, you should be able to upload your desired files.
Thanks,
Alex.
how to prevent ftp account to delete files.
with out affect on capability can read/write
Hello,
I’m afraid this isn’t currently a feature offered. I recommend you only give out FTP access to those you trust and know are capable / have an understanding of how to use the FTP clients (to prevent accidental deletions).
To be safe though, you should generate regular backups from within cPanel. This will enable you to restore your site in the event any data has been deleted.
