Hello everyone!
Today we will be discussing how to back up your website using cPanel! This is in fact quite an easy task so let’s begin!
First log into your cPanel and find Backups like so:
Click it and you will see the following page:
You have quite a few options here however we are most concerned with the main one which is a complete backup of your website. So be sure to click the main one like so:
After you do so you will see this page:
There are a few options here let’s go over them:
1. Home Directory: This will save it to your home directory on the server.
2. Remote FTP Server: This will allow you to download it via FTP client
3. Remote FTP Server (passive): Also allows you to download via FTP
4. Secure File Copy: Allows you to generate a secured file.
For this we are going to save it to the Home Directory so select that and input your email and click generate back up and you will see the following:
Once you do that you will get an email when it’s finished!
Now you can also make copies of specific parts of your website like so:
So you can do partial backups and in order to upload a specific part click on the Restore a Home Directory Backup.
Choose where it is saved and select it and then select upload!
There you go you have it! If you have any questions feel free to ask away!

Can you please advise what is the exact URL to log into the cPanel?
Thanks
Dominic
Hello,
You should be able to use http://www.yourwebsite.com/cpanel if your domain points to the correct server.
If this doesn’t work, you can look into the welcome email for the cPanel login link (which would be server.address.com/cpanel).
