In today’s article, I will show you how to add a Facebook style wall to your Dolphin 7 based site. Before we begin, we need to install the “Wall” module. A step by step guide on installing the Dolphin 7 base modules can be found here.
Once we have the module installed, we can access it by clicking “Wall” under the “Modules” menu on the left side of the Dolphin admin screen.
From this menu we can control who posts to a members wall and how many items to display.
Here’s a sample picture of how a member’s wall looks after someone posts to it.
Other members can post messages, videos, music, links and pictures to the “wall”.
Done! Now you have one of the same tools as the major social networks which will allow your members to share their favorite media or links!
Until next time, happy social networking!

I installed the ‘wall’ feature’. however it doesn’t show up on the members side, so they have no way of posting, also I have no idea how to do it either so I can’t even put up a help link. any ideas how to make the wall display on the front page like facebook?
By default the “wall” only shows up on each members “account” page. The only way to have the wall show up on the front page is by using a “mod”. Here’s a free one at the Boonex market:

the mod to place the Wall into the index or homepage doesn’t work, it show multiple errors. I found a few tutorials showing how to do it manually but it doesn’t work either. Everything assumes you know how to do the sql side of things, but since it never shows you i am stuck. I need
a) do this
b) do that
c) and then this
otherwise all its shows is bugs, i am like a light bulb attracting constant bugs 🙁
The author of the mod should be able to help you with the errors. Every mod has it’s own support forum on Boonex, here’s the one for that mod:
