Name check is a plugin that allows you to check the display name on the registration form. In this article I will give you a step by step guide on how to check names during new user registration in Elgg 1.8
One of the things that users dislike is the fact that most websites don’t check if a name is already in use or if it contains invalid characters, and the registration process have to be started all over again. This plugin checks “Display name” during registration against blacklisted characters and removes those immediately and informs the user about it.
1. Download Name check for Elgg 1.8/1.9
