Hello and welcome! In today’s blog, I will show you how to use the included Forum module to your Dolphin 7.1.4 website. Before we begin, we need to install the forum module. A step by step guide on installing the Dolphin 7.1.4 base modules can be found here.
The forum in Dolphin 7.1.4 is moderated from the user side of the website and not from the admin. To begin the configuration click “Manage Forum” on the “Forum” tab that should now be on the main menu bar.
The forum comes with one default group called “General”. New groups can be added by clicking “New Group” on the forum sub-menu.
Now enter a title and click “Submit”. The next level under the groups are the actual forums. To add a new forum click the group you would like it to be listed under and click the “New Forum” icon. Now enter a title and click “Submit”. To delete a forum or group simply click the red “X” icon beside the one you would like to delete. To add an actual post you (or your users) click “New Topic” under the desired forum.
Done! You can now add as many groups, forums and posts to your site as you like. Until next time happy social networking!
