When a web browser asks for a page, the server returns a response with an HTTP header. HTTP response headers are contain information about the page requested. In this article I will give you a step by step guide on how to add a custom HTTP response header with IIS Manager.
Getting Started
1. Connect to your site using IIS Manager 7. If you don’t know how to connect to your site, please see this tutorial video:
2. In the site main page, go to menu IIS and select HTTP Response Headers:
3. Go to the actions panel, and click “Add” to create a new HTTP response header. Enter the name and value of the header:
4. And that’s it! The HTTP Response Header has been added successfully!
