Hello,
I’ve seen lots of Clip-Bucket powered websites that have the default favicon, which is definitely a marketing area of improvement. Come take a look and learn something valuable. This tutorial works for any Clip-Bucket version, even the 1.x branch.
Difficulty level: Easy
If you are planning to use a static image…
1. Create a 16×16 image and rename it to favicon.ico
2. Upload it to the root of your CB site (./*)
If you are planning to use an animated GIF…
1. Create your gif with a 16×16 size and preferably rename it to favicon.gif
2. Upload to the root of your CB site (./*)
3. Open global_header.html, located in ./styles/{TEMPLATE}/layout/*
4. Find:
<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="{$baseurl}/favicon.ico" />
5. Replace with:
<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="{$baseurl}/favicon.gif" />
6. Save & Upload.
Guess what? You finished! Easy, huh? Well, any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll be more than glad to assist you.
Best Regards,
