You’ve recently added a new staff member as a User in Zurmo and need to update information about the user in Zurmo. Zurmo makes it very easy to navigate updating a user. Let’s get started!
The first step is to make sure you are on your Zurmo Dashboard. By selecting the “Home” button you will be situated on your Zurmo Dashboard.
In the upper right hand corner of the Dashboard, you will notice a gear symbol as in the illustration below. Click on the gear symbol to open a list which includes choices such as Designer, Import, Users, Settings and more. For our purposes, we want to select Users.
Once the option for Users is selected, a new screen will open and present the Users Home screen. You will notice the navigation selection for Users on the left of the screen is highlighted by default. You may also see a list of other users created at an earlier point in time.
You may also see a list of other users created at an earlier point in time. In this case, and by example, we will be updating the user named Test User.
To select Test User for updating, first mark the check box for Test User. Then, with your cursor remaining in the section for the user you have selected, you will notice the icon for a pencil or pen to the far right of the user name. Click on this icon to select the update option for the user.
Once the Update selection is made, the screen will refresh displaying the various fields and detail for the user. Here is a partial view of what you will see:
Simply update the fields with the new user information.
The last step in creating a new user is to save your data for the new user. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of the window for the new user and select the Save option.
Once the Save option is selected, a new window will open to display a summary of the detail you have updated.
Now when you have new detail to add to a user, you can simply repeat this process to keep your user profiles up to date!
