You have just obtained more information on an “Account” you previously added to Zurmo, and now you want to update your “Account” with the new information. Here is a step by step guide on updating your “Account” with your new information.
The first step is to make sure you are on your Zurmo Dashboard. By selecting the “Home” button you will be situated on your Zurmo Dashboard.
Once on the Zurmo Dashboard, you notice the panel with the “Home” button also contains several other options such as Inbox, Accounts, Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Marketing, Reports, and Products. To update an “Account”, hover your mouse cursor over the “Account” option and left click to select the “Account” option.
Once you select the “Account” option, the screen will refresh and present you with a list of your “Accounts”. From the list of “Accounts”, determine the “Account” you would like to update. Hover your mouse cursor over the contact name (Test Account in this case) and click on the contact name.
Now that you have selected the “Account” you would like to update, the screen will refresh to present you with the “Account Detail” screen. In this case we see the “Test Account”.
From the “Account Detail” screen, confirm you have selected the “Account” you want to update, and hover your mouse cursor over the “Options” button to display five options: Edit, Audit Trail, Convert, Clone, and Delete. To update the “Account” with the new information select “Edit” from the list.
Once you select “Edit” from the list, the screen will refresh providing you with all of the fields associated with the “Account” you selected. In this case, I have updated the phone number (555-555-1212) as the new information for this “Account”.
Once the new information is completely entered, remember to scroll to the bottom of the “Account” and click the “Save” button to save your updates.
Now when you have new detail to add to an “Account”, you can simply repeat this process to keep your Accounts up to date!
