Zurmo has a highly effective Mission creation tool within the Inbox that enables communication of a new Mission between Zurmo users. Let’s see how it works!
The first step is to make sure you are on your Zurmo Dashboard. By selecting the “Home” button you will be situated on your Zurmo Dashboard.
From your Dashboard, you will see several options on the left side of your Home screen that include Home, Inbox, Accounts, Leads and more. Select the Inbox option.
After choosing the Inbox option, Zurmo will refresh the screen offering additional choices including Conversations, Missions, and more. To create a Mission, hover your mouse pointer over the down arrow in the Mission option. When you hover over the down arrow, Zurmo will present an option to Create a Mission. Select the Create Mission option and Zurmo will refresh the screen and present you with a new screen to input the details of your conversation.
At first, the Create Mission screen presented is abbreviated. Select the ‘More Details’ option to expand the input opportunities on the screen. When you do, you will see an additional option for Attachments.
On the Create Mission screen, complete the required and optional fields detailing the Description of the Mission, the Mission Reward and the Due date. Note that certain field names such as Description for example are marked with a red asterisk (*) which denotes a required data field.
To attach files click on the ‘Add Files’ label at the bottom of the expanded Create Conversation screen.
Once you click the ‘Add Files’ label, Zurmo will open your computer’s file structure to allow you to pick the file you wish to add to the task collaboration screen. Zurmo will add a link to the file on the bottom of the task collaboration screen.
Note on the field for the Due Date there is a Calendar icon useful in selecting the due date for the task. Simply click on the Calendar icon and select the date you wish to establish for the due date. You can use the slide bars on the bottom of the calendar to set the time in hours and minutes.
In this case, the due date selected was November 30th and the time selected by sliding the Hour slide bar to the right is 6:00pm. Once you have set your due date and time, select Done from the calendar window to complete the entry. Once you select Done, the calendar will vanish and you will be able to see the date you have entered into the collaboration screen in the due date field.
Once you have completed entering data in all of the required and other Create Mission fields, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save.
After selecting Save, Zurmo will refresh the screen and present you with a summary screen for your new Conversation.
By returning to the Inbox on the Zurmo Dashboard, you will see your newly created Mission listed in the Inbox summary.
Congratulations, you have started a new Mission in Zurmo. Zurmo makes Mission communication among users fast and easy to use and track!
