Use Purge Expired Cache in Joomla 2.5 for Site Maintenance

In this article, I will explain you how to use Purge Expired Cache in Joomla 2.5 for site maintenance. Component packaged with Joomla! 2.5 Core for deleting the expired cache files if caching is enabled.

  1. Login as administrator. 1
  2. In the top menu, click Site-> Maintenance-> Purge Expired Cache2
  3. Click the Purge Expired icon in the top left menu in your site. 3

That’s it.

We strongly recommended to periodically delete expired files cached for better performance on their website on the server.
