nopCommerce has a very robust and extensive administration panel, but every now and again, you’ll find that data needs to be updated or corrected in a way that’s not supported by nopCommerce directly. It’s at those times that you may find it preferable to edit the database directly – today, we’ll talk about how to do just that.Learn More

Every e-commerce site should have an SSL (secure socket layer) certificate configured and installed; today, we’ll talk about getting your SSL certificate installed, and activate SSL for your nopCommerce site.
Step 1: Make sure you know the domain name you’ll be using. Integrating your social media into your e-commerce solution is a terrific way to keep your customers engaged, and encourage your Facebook followers to cross over into your e-commerce site for their shopping. For e-commerce shops that leverage nopCommerce, this required a manual process to paste site links into their Facebook page. Today, we’ll review another alternative – the nopEssentials Facebook Plugin for nopCommerce.
Keesjan Van Roeden was kind enough to allow me to review a copy of the plugin. As of this time, versions 2.6, 2.65 and 2.7 are supported, and provided in the download. Also included is a .pdf file with step-by-step instructions on how to create your Facebook app, a prerequisite step for allowing your nopCommerce site to publish to your Facebook page using this plugin. The .pdf document is well-written, and the screenshots make it easy to follow along with the directions.Learn More

Let’s start with the basics; first, download the proper version of the nopDroidConnector for your nopCommerce instance. Unzip the folder, and extract the Misc.NopDroid folder. Drop the folder and contents into your Plugins folder on your nopCommerce site, or under your Nop.Web/Plugins folder in your Visual Studio solution.Learn More
