Hello and welcome! In today’s blog I will show you how to use the “Custom RSS” module with your Dolphin 7.1 website. Before we begin we need to install the module. A step by step guide on installing the Dolphin 7.1 base modules can be found here.

Once we have the module installed any member can add or delete an RSS feed to their profile by clicking “Edit” under the “Custom RSS” block on their profile page. To add a custom feed you simply add the feed URL, the number of items to display and the title of the feed.

The forum in Dolphin 7.1 is moderated from the user side of the website and not from the admin. To begin the configuration click “Manage Forum” on the “Forum” tab that should now be on the main menu bar.

Hello and welcome! In today’s blog I will show you how to add chat rooms to your Dolphin 7.1 based site. Before we begin, we need to install the chat module. A step by step guide on installing the Dolphin 7.1 base modules can be found here.

Once we have the module installed we can access it by clicking “Chat” on the main menu bar of the site. Chat rooms in Dolphin 7.1 are added from the user side of the website and not from the admin.

Accessing the chat rooms

To create a new chat room first we need to exit the current room. This can be accomplished by clicking the small door icon beside the name of the current room. Next click “New Room” beside “All Rooms” in the chat window. Now enter a room name and click “Create”

Adding a new room

Done! You can now add as many chat rooms to your site as you like. Any room created by your admin account will remain until you delete it. Also the first room on the list will become the default room and anyone entering chat will go directly into that room.

When customizing a nopCommerce installation, it may be necessary to add a custom field or title; in order to ensure that you can support that custom field in more than one language, it’s a good idea to add it to your language resources. Here’s how to do that.

1. Log into nopCommerce as an admin, and navigate to the Administration area

2. Click on “Configuration”=>”Languages”, and next to your preferred language (in this case, “English”), click “View String Resources”.

3. Click the “Add New Record” button on the left; enter a value for the resource name, and the title of the link you’re creating as a value.
