SocialEngine 4: Language Translated Errors

Andrew - SocialEngine

As your social network grows and you add more plugins or newer update to the system you may find errors within the language system.

If phases are all block capitals this is normally a quick fix by opening the language manager and searching for the phase which has become lost with its true meaning.

The error occurs when you try to change the word back to its true word.

When you have finished making the changes to the Language File you will click on Save to save the changes but you have found that the changes did not save.

The problem you may find is that the File has dropped its settings, to repair this open your FTP program i.e. FileZilla connect to your site and make your way to the language folder and you will need to redo the file CHMOD  to 777 (read/write/execute).

Once the file has updated to these settings you can go back to the language manager and remake the changes like before and this time once you click save the changes will have saved on refreshing the page.
