Remove Limits of Number of Variants per Product in TomatoCart

One community user report that it is impossible to save a product with a large number of variants. There are more than 1000 variants for each product in his store. When he try to save the product, the “please wait” will display for hours.

In fact, it is caused by the limitation for max file size set by php and web server. You have to increase upload_max_filesize in php.ini and then increase FcgidMaxRequestLen to match the size you set in upload_max_filesize in your vhost directives.

If you couldn’t set the upload_max_filesize in php.ini on your host cpanel, you could set it under admin > .htaccess file as follow:

php_value upload_max_filesize 10M

The community just increase the upload_max_filesize to 3M in order to create 1080 variants for each product. So, you should adjust the value depending on your own requirement.

If you don’t know how to increase the FcgidMaxRequestLen, please contact your host provider to do it for you.
