Social networking is all about users’ content ownership. Nowadays it is necessary to allow users to delete all of their personal information from any social network. For that reason, I will give a step by step guide on how to allow your members to delete their own accounts in Elgg 1.8
1. First, we will download a plugin called Member Selfdelete for Elgg 1.8 (you must have Elgg 1.8 for this) which can be downloaded here.
2. After downloading the plugin, upload the plugin to the mod folder. If you don’t know how to do that, please read this article.
3. Login on your Elgg network as an Administration and go to the Administration Dashboard: Learn More
If you have created a Silverlight out-of-browser application, you will want to know how many users have installed it. In this article, I will tell you how I did this in one of my applications.
First, we need somewhere to store number of installed/uninstalled copies. To do this, create a table in the database and update the Entity Framework model. It may look like the image below.
InDateTime – datetime, PK
IsInstantInstalled – bit (1 – instant installed, 0 – instant uninstalled) Learn More

To use this module you will also have to install the “Payment”, “Files” and “Orca Forum” modules.
Once we have the module installed we can access the settings by clicking “Store” under the “Modules” menu on the left side of the admin screen. From this screen we can change any of the store settings. Learn More
