mojoPortal has come a long way in the past several years; with every new release, Joe Audette and the other contributors to mojoPortal incorporate even more remarkable improvements and enhancements. Here’s a rundown on some of the improvements for the latest version.
Artisteer 4.1 has been made available as a full release as of Feb. 21, 2013 – with some great new enhancements and features, it’s easier than ever to create some stunning skins for your mojoPortal websites. The mojoPortal Skin Exporter plugin has also been updated to support the latest version of Artisteer.
For sites that contain a great deal of frequently updated information, it’s imperative to be able to offer a way to promote the most current content. This feature allows mojoPortal-powered news sites to provide up-to-date information on the latest articles on the site, in a way that’s automated, and easily incorporated into your layout.
- Search engine – the internal Lucene.NET search engine has been revamped
- Blog – Map settings are now per post so you can get more creative with maps in your blog posts. There is also a new setting if you want to show a search input in the blog.
- Forum – There is a new setting if you want to automatically close threads older than a certain number of days. Individual threads can now be left out of the Google site map for the forums and/or marked with a NOINDEX meta tag.
- Miscellaneous – Upgraded to CKeditor 4.0.1; Content Style templates can now be imported and exported.
mojoPortal has upgraded its jQuery support to use jQuery 1.9 and jQueryUI 1.10.0; included plugins have been upgraded to compatible versions, but custom plugins may need to be updated as well.
