If you have your domain registered at or transferred to Arvixe, you have the following options to manage your domain.
- Lock your domain
- Private Registration
- Getting Authorization Key
- Update DNS Information
- Renew Domain
Please go to http://billing.arvixe.com/ and login into the billing panel. You will find a screen like below:
The intro of each option is as below:
1. Lock your domain
This option allows you to prevent accidental transfer of your domain from Arvixe to other registrar. This Domain Theft Protection feature helps ensure that your domain name remains safe from illegal domain name transfers. Enabling Theft Protection on your domain name will result in a Transfer [Away] Request for this domain name to another Registrar to fail at the Registry itself.
2. Private Registration
The whois information for your domain contains registrar name and contact details including email addresses. If you Turn Off private registration, your own billing details at Arvixe will be used as whois information for your domain. When you Turn On this private registration, then your own details will be hidden for whois information and Arvixe will use proxy details at the actual registrar end for the whois request.
**EDIT July 13, 2015**
Starting July 13, 2015 domain private registration is no longer a free offering by Arvixe. Effective immediately, domain privacy is now an addon option in the checkout offered at $9.99/yr for a single domain. For existing customers with private registration enabled on domains that were registered before 7/13/2015 will be considered legacy customers. Those domains with private registration already enabled will remain free as long as you remain an Arvixe customer.
When you turn on Auto-Renew, the domain will be automatically renewed for the next year period. This only works when you have correct information about your credit card saved in the billing panel, or if you already have sufficient credit in your account with Arvixe.
4. Generate Authorization Key
If you want to take away your domain from Arvixe to another registrar, you will need to turn off the locking of your domain and an authorization key. This authorization key will be sent to an email address listed in the whois information of the domain.
5. Update DNS Information
If you change the hosting server, you need to point to the correct DNS. This option lets you do this. Enter at least two NS for the server at which your domain is hosted.
6. Renew Domain
You may renew your domain with this option. This will add renewal charges into your bill as per your selected renewal period. Then, you may pay the billed amount to complete the renewal process.
