Make the Upcoming Products Module Work in TomatoCart

You may find the upcoming content module doesn’t work properly sometimes. After installing the modules and set the upcoming products for it, the module never be shown in the store front. After testing it carefully, i find the issue was caused by the cache. When install the module and access the store front, the cache for this module will be generated automatically. In this case, whenever you set the extra the upcoming products in the admin panel, it will not be displayed because the cache wasn’t expired yet. So, the data of upcoming products module isn’t changed. The content module will still be empty until you clear the cache under admin panel > tools > cache control.

The solution is to clear the cache of the module automatically after adding any new upcoming product to it. Please apply it as follows:

  1. Download the package from https://www.dropbox.com/s/oge13tc3uw0577s/upcoming_products.zip
  2. Unzip it and copy all contents of directory to your tomatocart directory. You need to override directories and files if your copy process request confirmation.

Next, you have to set the Date Available of upcoming products under admin panel > Catalog > Products:

products

Finally, after installing the upcoming products and set its layout, it will be shown in the store front as follow:

In default glass gray template

upcoming_products

In BootStrap template

upcoming_products_boot

Enjoy it!
