One Comment on Installing WHMCS on Windows(ASP) hosting

  1. Nate Black says:

Great write-up! I really wish I would have found this last week, as I just went through this process and had a some issues.

An “extra” step I needed to complete to get my installation of WHMCS up and running on my ASP.NET reseller account:
    - Add a virtual directory for the WHMCS installation in the website section for the domain where I installed WHMCS, then index.php to the default documents for the WHMCS virtual directory. Without this step, I just got 403 errors when trying to access WHMCS (even though it installed just fine).

Perhaps a virtual directory for WHMCS is automatically created by default and I just repeatedly hosed multiple installations (and re-installations) of WHMCS, but it ended up requiring a manual creation of the virtual directory in my case.
