Written by Arian Jahansouz Thursday, 4 August 2011
In this article, I will give you a step-by-step guide on how to upload your website to your server using FileZilla. If you do not already have FileZilla, you can download it here. Open FileZilla and follow these steps:
1) Enter your host name, password and username in the Quickconnect Bar
2) Click Quickconnect
Now your local site is in the left bar and your remote site is in the right bar
3) In the remote site, double click on your website directory
4) Double click on the wwwroot folder
5) In the local site, locate your website files
6) Drag and drop your files from your local site to your remote site
7) You will then get a confirmation that your file has been uploaded successfully
Your files have now been uploaded to your website!
This concludes how to use FileZilla to upload your website

Thanks for taking time and sharing this with us
I’m having a problem with files looping during upload, it will keep trying to upload the same file over and over again, i see when it gets to 100% it gets a timeout error.
I found this happens when the upload is going too fast, I fixed it by either limiting the upload speed (Transfer>Speed liimits) or increasing the timeout period from 5 seconds to 10 seconds (Edit>Settings>Connection), it still happens, but not as much now.
I can’t find any directory names “wwwroot” at remote side.
it would be under domain.com/wwwroot for Windows accounts but public_html for linux.
From where I get host address
Your host address is simply YOURSERVER.arvixe.com. This is the server you use when logging in to your website panel or cPanel
