Hello everyone welcome back once again to another awesome tutorial for you Xenforo users out there!

Today we are going to discuss how to set up a Privacy Policy page. This page is very important to any forum as it tells your forum members what your stance is on their information. It also describes your cookie policy.

So go ahead and log into your Admin Panel. From there at the top you will see Applications next to Options click on that. You will see this page:

On the left side as indicated in the above image by the red box you will click on Create New Page. Once you do that you will see this page:

You will use the following settings for this setup:

1. URL Portion: privacy page

2. Title: What ever your want for this one I am going to use “Our Privacy Policy”

3.Description: Put what you want the page description to be.

4.Parent Node: Leave as is.

5. Display Order: Leave as is.

6. Display in Node List: Uncheck this as this is a page and won’t be included in your node tree or node list.

This is what it will look like when you are finished:

Ok so at the top of the page you will see the following tabs:

You will click on Page options and you will see this page:

In the Template HTML box you will enter the following code:

<div class="messageText ugc baseHtml">

your privacy policy content here

After you do this your page should look like this:

So go ahead and click save and it will redirect you to your node tree. From this page you will navigate to Home > Options > Basic Board Information. It will look like this:

So click that and you will see this page:

So you have to scroll about half way down this page and you will see Privacy Policy URL like this:

So here we are going to add our url. This is pretty easy (remember to replace with your domain name and xenforo with the name for your install or if it’s in your root dont’ include it) it looks like this with xenforo being it’s own folder

privacypage is what you named the page. this is what it looks like if you used the root folder:

So after you do that it should look like this:

Click save. After you do that it’s time to see it in action! Go to your board home and look in the bottom right and you will see it like so:

When you click on it to see your new page it looks like this:

There you have it! You have now created your very own Privacy Policy page!

If you need anything more please ask away!
