This method does nothing.
Cannot understand why i the app pool crashes it does not auto restart; i have never seen this before, with any other host.
It does restart automatically, however if you ever need to do it for any reason, you can do it by following this tutorial. Not every asp.net application is the same and some people actually need to reset it manually.

You can try Application Pool Recycle Utility for SharePoint Developers but the Creator DO NOT RECOMMEND IT for Production Sites, and probably on your private server.
