[HOW-TO] Remove ‘Clipbucket v2 Members box’ in Clip-Bucket v2.0.91

Hello,

 

Small how-to to remove the Clipbucket v2 Members box located in the right column of the homepage. I always recommend backing up the files you are going to edit in case you want to revert the changes.

 

Difficulty level: Super easy =)

1. Open ./styles/{YOURTEMPLATE}/layout/index.html

2. Search for: <div>{AD place=ad_300x250}</div>, and below it, you should see the code that is used to generate the box:

 <div>{lang code='website_members' assign='websitemems'}{$websitemems|sprintf:$title}</div>
 <div>{lang code='guest_homeright_msg'}</div>
 <div><a href="{link name='signup'}">{lang code='reg_for_free'}</a></div>

 </div> <!--BOX END-->
 {/if}

3. Remove all this code.

4. Save and upload.

Guess what!? You’re now ready! You can now open your website and see the box has disappeared!

[HOW-TO] Adjust account navigation bar for proper display in Clip-Bucket

Hello,

I’ll show you how to correct this error (see image below). For me it happens in Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10, SwiftFox v3.5.3. This is written for v2.0.91, but can be easily modified to work with any Clip-Bucket version. You can always do a backup of the files we are going to edit if later you want to revert changes.

What I am talking about:

Difficulty level: Easy

1. Open main.css located in ./styles/{YOUTEMPLATE}/theme*

2. Search for: “.navi ul li:first-child”, and add  margin-left to 10px (or edit only to 10px).

margin-left: 10px;

3. Search for: “.navi ul li”, and set padding to  0 5px 0 6px:

padding: 0 5px 0 6px;

4. Upload now to your server, and overwrite when asked.

That’s it! If you can’t see the changes, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

    First of all thank you for amazing post.
    I want to know how can i remove the login and register function from clip bucket. Login/Register can be perform by existing login system. I dont want to use clipbucket login/signup but i want clipbucket use my existing authentication.
    e.g – A user singup on my own webpage and then he use credential and if he authenticated he can access different link of our website. Then when he click on video link. Clipbucket page would get open. And his details and session info get loaded automatically. Clipbucket wont ask for enter login/signup.

    Please advise me how can i do it?
