[HOW-TO] Remove Clip-Bucket’s logo from the admin area login

Written by Richi González Wednesday, 4 May 2011

Hello,

Recently somebody got in touch with me asking me how to change the default Clip-Bucket’s logo from the admin area to his own (see what I am talking about in the image below). He told me it looked unprofessional if somebody ever got to the admin area login for accident, so I looked for the solution, and here it is for all you guys. Written for v2.0.91. A backup to files we are going to edit is always recommend it, in case you want to revert changes in the future.

What I am talking about:

We will need an image editor. You can use Fireworks, Photoshop, Gimp, etc.

Difficulty level: Easy (Way more easier if you are good with image editing)

1. Open login.png from: ./admin_area/styles/cbv2/images/* with your favorite image editor. In this article I will be using Gimp.

2. Remove the CB logo. (It’s better if you remove all around it, see image)

3. Add your logo in the empty space.

4. Upload the image, overwrite when asked.

That’s it! As simple as that! Your site will now definitely look more professional. Very small things that make the site look better, right?

Anything you need, any question, comment, etc, do not hesitate to contact me! Please leave a comment =)

Best Regards,

Richi

    Hi

I’ve got the new Clipbucket simplicityv2c template and would like to know how do I go about changing the main site logo on this template. The procedures I’ve seen are for the old original template (cbv2).

    Thanks in advance…

    Regards

    Hello,

Open main.css, located in ./styles/simplicityv2c/theme/* . Search for – .LogoIMG – (Don’t add the hyphens), where it says “url”, change it “../styles/simplicityv2c/images/logo.png”.

Upload your logo to ./styles/simplicityv2c/images/* with the name: logo.png.

IF you have any problem, please let me know.

    Regards,
    RIchi

    Hello,

The code is not appearing completely, so I don’t exactly know what you’re talking about. I kindly ask you to please start a new thread at the forum (forum.arvixe.com) in the Clip-Bucket section; I’ll personally assist you with this.

    Regards,
    Richi

    Hello,

That is the slogan. It can be changed from the admin_area, exactly in Website Settings and Configurations, in the first tab.

    Regards,
    Richi
