Manage Word Censoring in phpBB

Hello,

Making sure that your members follow a strict word censorship policy is important on a forum that is suitable for all ages.  So knowing how to enable word censorship is very important.

I will show you how to do so below:

First let’s go ahead and log into your Admin CP and you will be taken to the main screen you will then select Posting as seen below in the image:

After that the Posting screen will load up and you will see the following. Go ahead and click on Word Censoring on the left hand side of the screen as seen below:

Click Word Censoring on the left hand side and you will be taken to the following page with one option which is to add New Word. It will look like this:

Go ahead and click on Add New Word and you will be taken to a screen that looks like this. Let me go ahead and explain this screen:

1. Is the word you want to censor for example the word “butt”

2. Is the word you want to replace it with so for example “Bottom”

After you are finished you will click submit and it will add the word and you will be take back to the main Censorship page and it will look like the following:
