How to Manage User Cancellation Options in phpFox

This article will focus on managing the options your members see if they decide to cancel their account on your phpFox website.

As your memberbase grows for your phpFox website, it is inevitable that you will have members that wish to cancel their accounts.  As the site owner, you want to get feedback from the members as they cancel, allowing you to note trends and work towards making improvements.

The default User Cancellation options are generic, it is up to you to customize them to better suit your site, and the information you hope to receive from cancelling members.

Editing these options is a simple task.  In your Admincp, select the Users menu.  Under User Cancellation, select Manage Options.

The following screen shows a list of reasons your members can choose for cancelling their account.

You can disable any of the options by clicking the green circle on the right, and making it red.  You can move any option up or down the list by dragging it up or down the list with the up and down arrows on the left.  Or you can select the drop down arrow to view other options, like edit and delete.

To edit the option, select Edit Reason.  The next page

The options on this page are very simple.  Type in the reason for cancellation that you want to display, and select Yes for Active.  When done, click Submit.

The process is the same for adding a new reason.  Follow these steps for every reason that you want to add, and delete or edit the ones you don’t want to display.
