Make your Website’s Title Scroll in Clip-Bucketv2

Hello,

Today I will show you a little cool trick you can do with your website’s title that is shown in your browser window. We will make the title scroll, giving it a different look. Javascript must enabled in your users’ browser for this to work.

1. Open ./styles/{YOURTEMPLATE}/layout/global_header.html

2. Find

</head>

and before that line, paste

{literal}
<script type="text/javascript">
titlemsg = "{cbtitle}";
pos = 0;
function scrollingTitle() {
	document.title = titlemsg.substring(pos, titlemsg.length) + titlemsg.substring(0, pos);
	pos++;
	if (pos > titlemsg.length) {
		pos = 0;
		window.setTimeout("scrollingTitle()",200);
	}
}
scrollingTitle();
</script>
{/literal}

The title will displayed will be the one set in your admin_area.

3. Save & Upload.

Go now to your site and see how cool your title is scrolling. Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m up for suggestions! If you’d like me to cover a specific topic, just let me know and I’ll do my best to do it!

Best Regards,

Richi
