How to Make a Backup of Joomla with Softaculous

This article is about a full backup of your Joomla website using Softaculous.
Log into your Cpanel and follow these steps:

  1. In the section “Software / Service”, click Softaculous:1
  2. Inside Softaculous, click on the box icon that says “All Installations”, on the top right of the page:2
  3. This shows a page where you can see the applications installed on your domain. Look for the Joomla install (any version) that you want to backup, and click on the backup icon:3
  4. After, it will ask you what you want to backup: Directory or Database. Choose both options and click on Backup Installation:4

At the end of the process, it will show this message:

“The backup was created successfully. You can download it from the Backups page.”
