This article will give you a step by step guide on how to install WordPress from your cPanel using Softaculous.
Sign into your cPanel and follow these steps:

After the above installation is done, where do you go from here? Is there a step by step process that will help in order to get the themes/template installed and have you on your way to completing your site?
Once the installation is completed, go to yourdomain.com/wp. For the admin page, go to yourdomain.com/wp/wp-admin/
Why is that when I leave the blank, I mean making the box empty, I could not see my url online. But when I leave the there as the default, its taking me to http://springnotes.net/wp? I want it to be shown as http://springnotes.net only. What should I do?
Leaving the folder option completely blank will install WordPress in your root directory. I might suggest going to the “current installations” (icon in the upper right of softaculous) and uninstall all existing copies of WP, and maybe manually delete any stray folders that are leftover. You might be having some kind of strange “interference” from an old installation of WP if you have tried it once or twice already.
Let me know how it goes.
Arian,
Saved a backup of wp from godaddy hosting. How do I upload that to my wp just installed on Arvixe hosting?
If you used WordPress’ Export Tool, simply click on Import WordPress in the Tools menu.
Not difficult.
