How to Install SMF From Your cPanel Using Softaculous

This article will give you a step by step guide on how to install SMF from your cPanel. Sign into your cPanel and follow these steps:

1) Click Softaculous.

2) Scroll down to Forums. Find the SMF link and click on it.

4) Fill out all of the boxes. For In Directory type the name of a new directory you would like created. By default, the box will be left blank to install the software into your main directory. When you are finished, click Install.

    I’ve installed three smf forums and have never been able to follow link from email and log in. I was doing a fresh install today and the same thing – can’t log in. Before I’ve figured out how to work around this but today I figured I’d find out why this happens. Haven’t found out yet.
