This is great information. However, I have a question. Will Opencart upgrade automatically, or will Softaculous notify me of upgrades and provide some kind of automation, or do I need to FTP manually?

    Hi Mitch,

Softaculous has an upgrade option, but you must go in there and click upgrade whenever a new version is available in Softaculous. So, while it will try to upgrade it for you, it will not automatically do it for you upon new releases without your consent.

As soon as you install it from within softaculous, it does outline the URL for administration. I would suggest removing and reinstalling and paying attention to the last screen.

It should be under public_html. If you installed in a subdirectory (such as opencart or ocart), then its under public_html/THAT_DIRECTORY such as public_html/ocart
