Install MOD’s on phpBB using AutoMOD

Hello everyone it’s that time again. I am now going to teach all of you how to use AutoMOD to install a MOD into your forum on phpBB.

NOTE: Please back up all databases and information prior to uploading a MOD. If something goes wrong you will be able to restore your forum to before you installed the MOD. Failure to do this may result in you being unable to recover your forum!

To install any MOD, you’re going to need to download the .zip file for the mod and upload it to your /stores/mod directory of your forum. You can use Filezilla to do this upload. After you have successfully uploaded the MOD to the /stores/mod directory

Log into the Admin CP of your forum. Navigate over to a tab at the top all the way over to the right and you will see AutoMOD.

Click AutoMOD after that you will see this screen:

automod_install2_thumb

So what you will need to do is click the install link on the right under the category Uninstalled MODS

So click install and you will see either of the two following screens:

automod_install3_thumbautomod_install4_thumb

The one on the left means you have installed it correctly and the one on the right means you have not.

You will need to execute any “DIY (or Do-It-Yourself) Instructions” by hand before your MODification will work. These are displayed near the top of the results screen.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!

I hope you enjoy and if you encounter any issues please feel free to ask away!
