This article will focus on enabling debug mode in phpFox.
There may be times that you will find that something is not working correctly on your phpFox website, at these times you will want to enable the debug mode so that you can find out where the issue may be.
There are two ways to enable debug, the first is via the admincp, the second is by uploading a file to your server.
In order to enable debug via the admincp, the quickest way to find the debug setting is by using the search.
Searching for debug will bring up the setting Debug Level. Select it.
On the Debug Level page, you will see that you have a few options for how much information is displayed while debug is enabled. Typically you will only need to set debug to level 1
After choosing your level of debug, select Submit to enable it.
If you are unable to access your admincp for any reason, you can enable debug by creating and uploading a dev.sett.php file to your include/setting/ directory via FTP or your cPanel file manager.
The contents of this dev.sett.php file should be as follows:
NOTE: After you have solved any errors that were causing you to be unable to enable debug from the admincp, I strongly suggest you enable debug from the admincp and DELETE the dev.sett.php file from your server.
You should now be able to enable debug mode for your phpFox site.
