How to Easily Run the Upgrade.php Script in Elgg 1.8

In this article, I will give you a step by step guide on how to easily run the Upgrade.php script in Elgg 1.8. Sign in to your Elgg site as an Admin and follow these steps:

1. Once logged in, click on the Administration link on the topbar:

2. You will be to the Administration Dashboard. From there, click on the button labeled Upgrade:

3. And that’s it! The Upgrade.php script will run.

The upgrade script is a very good tool that will let you see the changes you apply to your Elgg site. Many users were confused because they did not know how to run such script. However, on the latest Elgg release, you can just click on the upgrade button with no problems!
