How to Disable Simple Cache in Elgg 1.8

In this article, I will give you a step by step guide on how to disable simple cache in Elgg 1.8. This is a quick guide in case you are doing some CSS changes to your site and you want to see the new changes on refresh. Sign in as an admin in your Elgg site and follow these steps:

1. Once logged in, click on the Administration link on the right side of the top bar menu:

2. On the Administration Dashboard, in the right side menu bar, click on Settings. A sub menu will appear, there click on Advanced Settings:

3.  In the Advanced Settings page, scroll down and uncheck the Use simple cache and click on Save after that:

4. You will receive a message confirming your new settings.

And that’s it! Now you just have to refresh the page to see any change you do.
