How To Connect to a VPN with an Android Device

Hello,

If your company has a VPN network and you need to be connected on the road to it, you can do it if you have an Android mobile phone (can be done in other devices too). Most Android devices have a built in VPN client installed; you just need to set up the connection.

Difficulty level: Easy

1. Go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> VPN Settings -> Set up and manage Virtual Private Networks.

2. Select the VPN protocol.

3. Enter a name for the connection, your Username and Password, and the IP. If you need a certificate, you must download it and save it in the memory; go to Settings -> Security; check the box that says ‘Use security credentials’; create a password for the storage.

4. Touch the connect button.

A message should pop up saying the connection was either successful or not. If there was an error, go back and check the info you typed was correct. If there are any problems during the process and you need help, please let me know and I’d be more than glad to assist you.
