This article will give you a step by step guide on how to change the password of your Elgg Admin account. Login to Elgg as an admin and follow these steps:

1. In the top bar, Click on Settings:

2. Once you click it, it will take you to your account settings. In there you will have to type your current password in order to change it to another one:

3. Save your changes and that’s it.

It is strongly recommended that you change your administrator password at least once every three months, to keep your site safe and avoid problems within your site.
