How to Change the Color of the Header Menu in Elgg 1.8

In elgg 1.8 there’s a new part under the topbar called Header Menu. By default, it is blue – and to change the color of this part is somehow difficult. This article will give you a step by step guide on how to change the color of the Header menu in Elgg 1.8. Use an FTP manager to log in to your website and follow these steps:

1) Go to YourElggSite/views/default/css/elements and open the file layout.php

2) Once you opened the file, we will look for the Page Header section in that file:

3) Now, we are going to change the color to black. This is the value that we are going to change: #4690D6:

4) Save the changes. Clear your web browser’s Cache and on your site, run upgrade.php, and you will see the new color of the header menu:

    It has to be with a plugin. It is safer
